Located on the campus of Dot Foods' Liverpool distribution center at 200 Monarch Drive, the Dot Family Health Center (FHC) offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services designed to meet the needs of nearly 390 Liverpool Dot and Dot Transportation (DTI) employees, their spouses, and dependent children enrolled in Dot's and DTI’s medical insurance programs. A ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 25 marked the official opening, reinforcing the company's commitment to employee health and well-being. The new Family Health Center is located in the distribution center’s existing parking area.

Comprehensive Healthcare Services On-Site

The 1,520-square-foot Family Health Center, operated by Marathon Health, features state-of-the-art exam rooms, a laboratory, and office space. It offers a wide range of medical services, including preventive screenings, chronic disease management (such as high blood pressure and diabetes), wellness education, annual physicals, lab work, and vaccinations. Employees and their families also have access to low-cost or no-cost generic prescriptions, making essential medications more accessible.

“Dot’s business is food, not healthcare,” said Mandi Clark, Dot Foods vice president of human resources, “But we pride ourselves on being problem solvers. So when it comes to our Family Health Centers, we make it a point to find great partners that allow us to provide a great healthcare experience for our employees. We’re excited to work with Marathon Health at our Liverpool FHC to make sure our employees feel the difference that comprehensive, personalized care makes. Many of the services are free when employees visit the FHC, and if there is a cost, it’s usually very low. Employees can use money from their health savings account or payroll deduction to cover the bill.”

For many Dot employees and their families, visiting the doctor requires traveling to a neighboring community. The new Family Health Center eliminates those barriers, providing a convenient option for both routine care and required medical exams.

The Dot Family Health Center is also a certified provider of Department of Transportation physicals, giving DTI drivers access to required exams on-site. Previously, drivers had limited access to local providers for these exams, making scheduling a challenge. Now, with a convenient on-site option, drivers can complete their Department of Transportation physicals more efficiently, reducing travel time and staying compliant with federal regulations.

"We recognize how challenging it can be to find time to take care of yourself, especially for those working demanding, non-traditional schedules," said Adam Smith, general manager of Dot Foods Liverpool. "By bringing these services on-site, we hope to make it easier for employees to prioritize their health without the added stress of scheduling off-site appointments, saving them time and providing greater convenience."

Expanding Healthcare Across Dot Foods Locations

The New York distribution center marks Dot's 12th on-site or near-site health center. The company launched the initiative at its Georgia distribution center in 2013 and has since expanded it to nearly all U.S. locations. Dot will open its 13th and final Family Health Center at its Bear, Delaware, distribution center later this year.

By integrating health centers into its operations, Dot is improving access to convenient, high-quality healthcare for employees and their families. This initiative reflects the company's long-standing commitment to employee well-being and strengthens its role as an employer that values workplace health, quality care, and long-term support for its team members.
