Anchovi, a foodservice ecommerce platform by Dot Foods, is now a white-label solution for distributors with expanded ERP (enterprise resource planning) software integration capabilities. These updates will help food and beverage industry distributors maintain consistency with customers and simplify the launch of their online ordering platforms.
Now that Anchovi is a white-label solution, distributors can ensure their storefront reflects their brand. Restaurants and operators will see their distributor’s name and logo throughout the platform. This strengthens the distributors’ brands, while helping distributors provide their customers the seamless digital experience they expect.
“Ecommerce has really boomed in the food and beverage industry, and we know distributors are worried about being left out,” explained Kevin Baum, Anchovi’s director of platform success. “Anchovi places distributors at the center of foodservice ecommerce, so they can profit in a new digital environment. This white labeling ensures they remain front and center, no matter how customers order their products.”
ERP integration is another source of concern for distributors when it comes to ecommerce. Anchovi integrates with any ERP application, allowing data to transfer between platforms. Depending on the ERP software, onboarding can take as little as two weeks.
Distributors do not pay any fees during the ERP integration process. Payment begins once their customers start transacting on the platform.
“Everything we develop is based on our conversations with our business partners,” explained Dot Foods Executive Vice President Cullen Andrews. “Anchovi’s new updates are a direct response to feedback from distributors. As we continue to improve and invest in new solutions, the business needs of our customers will always determine our priorities.”
Anchovi first launched in 2022 after Dot Foods acquired Morsum, a leading food industry data and artificial intelligence (AI) company. The ecommerce solution empowers foodservice distributors to set up online ordering without extensive IT and development resources. It also uses machine learning to help foodservice operators simplify ordering.
With best-in-class data from Dot Foods, Anchovi enriches distributors’ product content. The platform automatically populates images and product details from Dot’s data, helping operators make informed decisions and supporting distributor sales. Dot continues to build on its industry-leading capabilities by optimizing product data for business partners.
More plans are in the works for Anchovi in 2024, including scan-to-order functionality, broadcast messaging to customers, and support for more payment types and promotions. Keep up with the latest from Anchovi and book a demo on their new website, anchovi.com.
