Mt. Sterling, Ill. - Dot Foods, one of the area's largest employers, today officially joined the U.S. Army's Partnership for Youth Success (PaYs) Program, a strategic partnership between the U.S. Army and corporate America. The program provides America's youth with an opportunity to serve their country while they prepare for their future. The Army agrees to pre-qualify, train, and provide honorably discharged veterans with valuable skills. Partner companies reserve future positions in exchange for trained Army veterans. The PaYs soldier agrees to fulfill their Army obligation and benefits with future hiring preference within the partnership company.
Nationwide PaYs partners have posted more than 152,000 jobs, including 90 posted at Dot Foods and Dot Transportation, Inc. Already more than 40 returning active duty soldiers have requested interviews at Dot Foods or DTI.
