Dot Foods, one of the area's largest employers, is working to keep up with demand spurred by nationwide growth, and will hire 20 warehouse workers and 15 truck drivers at its headquarters and largest distribution center in Mt. Sterling.
On Monday, July 30, Dot Foods and Dot Transportation will host a job fair at John Wood Community College located at 1301 St. 84th Street, Quincy, Ill., 62301 from 4:00 pm till 7:00 pm. The following positions are available:
Drivers: Class A CDL drivers - No touch, delivery and team drivers
Warehouse: Ten-hour night shifts in the dry warehouse; starting salary at $12.50 per hour Twelve-hour day shifts in the dry warehouse; starting salary at $13.90 per hour Part-time day shifts in the warehouse; starting salary at $11.50
Founded in 1960 in Mt. Sterling, Dot has not had a layoff in the entire history of the company and also offers a very competitive benefits package for all full-time employees.
Average pay for a driver with Dot Transportation is $50,000 the first year. Dot Transportation usually hires drivers who live within one hour's drive of the local distribution center.
