BURLEY, Id. - Dot Foods, Inc., the nation's largest food industry redistributor, and Dot Transportation, Inc. (DTI), Dot Foods' subsidiary trucking partner, are adding to their growing team in Burley, Idaho. 2015 is off to a strong start, as Dot's Idaho distribution center has seen a 12 percent increase in volume over last year. To keep up with the demand, the facility is adding up to 25 positions over the next few months.

"We're fortunate to see our business continue to grow," said Anthony Soto, Dot Foods Idaho general manager. "Dot's success means we have the opportunity to provide more jobs in the Burley community and tap further into the excellent workforce in this area."

Dot has doubled in size every five years in the company's history. Volume growth in Idaho in 2015 has been so large that it prompted the Burley facility to hold its first job fair in seven years. The March 19 hiring event at the Idaho Department of Labor Mini-Cassia office gave Dot representatives the chance to meet face-to-face with prospective employees and answer their questions. Job seekers interested in a career with Dot were able to apply on-site and initial interviews were conducted.

"I grew up in Burley, so I know what great people we have in this community," Soto said. "We met some very qualified candidates at the hiring event. This is an exciting time for our company and we are happy to have the opportunity to employ more local talent on our team."

The Idaho facility looks to add drivers and warehouse staff and has a variety of positions available. There are openings for full time, part time, transfer and team drivers in addition to full time and part time availability in the warehouse. Both drivers and the warehouse team in Burley saw a market pay increase at the start of 2015. Dot offers an excellent benefits package for full time employee which includes family health, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; quarterly and annual bonuses; paid vacation, sick and personal days; and a 401K and profit sharing plan. Tuition reimbursement is also available student drivers.
