Dot Transportation, an affiliate company of Dot Foods, the largest food industry redistributor in North America, is excited to unveil the design of its new military themed trailer. The new trailer was greeted by employees as it arrived at Dot's corporate headquarters in Mt. Sterling on Thursday.

Dot Transportation unveiled its first military themed trailer in 2016. Supporting the military has long been a priority to the company; co-founder Robert Tracy served in the Marines. This summer, Dot Foods Senior Graphic Designer Yvette Seal created three new design options, which were put to a public online vote. The winning design is seen in the above image. Seal also designed the original military themed trailer.

"Working on this project has been such an honor," Seal said. "I felt quite privileged when I was asked to design a second trailer. These types of projects are so significant because they pay respect to those that have served. The imagery portrays the type of self-sacrifice and courage that our soldiers face daily. It will be exciting to see the rolling tribute out on the nation's highways, main streets, and hometown parades."

The new military-themed trailer will travel across the country as part of the Dot Transportation fleet, like the original. Since it was introduced, the trailer has been in high demand by each of Dot's 11 distribution centers for appearances at community events, job fairs, and veterans' activities.

"All three design options were excellent, so this was a win for us, no matter which trailer was the one selected," said Paul Mugerditchian, Dot Transportation president. "We're excited to have this new tribute to our military finished and ready to join our fleet. Dot Foods and Dot Transportation are fortunate to employ veterans in all areas of our business, and we want to recognize their service and sacrifice-and that of all members of the military everywhere."

The community will be able to see Dot's new military themed trailer in the Veterans Day Parade in Quincy, Illinois, on November 10.

Dot Transportation employs nearly 2,100 nationwide. More than a quarter of those jobs are at the company's Mt. Sterling headquarters. Visit DriveforDot.com for more information on driving careers with Dot Transportation.
