By purchasing through Dot, distributors and wholesalers can access products when they could not otherwise meet the minimum from the manufacturer. They can buy exactly what they want in the quantities they need. Dot's pricing to customers is based on the distributor's total combined order weight.
Dot customers are not required to meet minimums on individual product lines, just an overall Dot minimum:
